About Kanata

Kanata is a suburban area located just to the west of the Greenbelt and is one of the largest of several communities that surround central Ottawa. It is a planned community, notable for its mix of densities and commercial and residential properties along with a large amount of open space. Kanata’s communities include Beaverbrook, Glen Cairn, Bridlewood, Katimavik, Hazeldean, Morgan's Grant, and Kanata Lakes. Kanata is notable for being home to many high-tech companies.
